This listing is for Futaba-Aoi which is a plant native to Japan - Asarum caulescens or Wild ginger. The shape of its leaves -heart shaped- and the way the leaves grow towards the sun, the plant is seen as a symbol of development and inviting happiness. The beautiful and elegant pattern designed over 100 years ago but never seems to look old and it is one of our favorite historical designs from the Haibara collection.
